Chelsea transfer news: Thibaut Courtois in 'advanced discussions' with Real Madrid

By Daily Sports on July 15, 2018

REAL MADRID are in advanced discussions to sign Thibaut Courtois, according to reports in Belgium.

The Chelsea goalkeeper has been a long-time target for the Spanish giants.

And Courtois has repeatedly refused to rule out a move to Madrid in the future after stalling on a new Blues deal.

The Belgian's contract expires next summer, and according to reports in his native country, Los Blancos are already in talks over a potential move.

HLN report Madrid and Chelsea are in 'advanced discussions' over a deal.

But the publication claims the west London outfit are not prepared to let Courtois leave until they bring in a replacement.

Roma stopper Alisson Becker has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Stamford Bridge this summer and could pave the way fro Courtois to depart.

Fellow Belgian Eden Hazard also fuelled speculation he may be leaving Chelsea this evening.

“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different," he told HLN. (Daily Express)
