Arsenal fans are being forced to wait for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira's arrival to be confirmed.
Torreira will have to wait to complete his £25million switch to Arsenal after he led his Uruguay side to the World Cup quarter-finals.
The Daily Mail says personal terms and the £25m fee being paid to Sampdoria are finalised, but Torreira will continue to focus on his country's attempts to win a third World Cup title.
Torreira played the full 90 minutes in Sochi as Edinson Cavani's double took Uruguay past Cristiano Ronaldo 's Portugal.
Torreira is set to become new Arsenal boss Unai Emery's third signing of the summer after Swiss right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bayer Leverkusen keeper
Bernd Leno .
Sokratis Papastathopoulos , the Dortmund centre-back, is also on the verge of joining the club, having completed a medical ahead of a £17m move. (Tribal Football)
