Chelsea chiefs plot new attempt for Sarri

By Daily Sports on June 8, 2018

Chelsea have not dropped their pursuit of sacked Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.

Sportitalia says Blues director Marina Granovskaia flew to Russia in order to work out a strategy with owner Roman Abramovich.

Chelsea plan a fresh push to land Sarri on Monday. There are also reports from Naples that Sarri will hand in his resignation to secure a release from his contract.

Sarri, despite his dismissal, will remain on the Napoli payroll until the deal is terminated by mutual consent.

Chelsea have shown little interest in paying compensation to Napoli for a coach they no longer want. (Tribal Football)
