Emery to make PSG wonderkid Adli first signing at Arsenal

By Daily Sports on June 1, 2018

Arsenal expect to sign Paris Saint-Germain teenager Yacine Adli on a three-year deal after he rejected a professional contract with the French champions.

The 17-year-old France Under-18 international midfielder will have the option to extend for a further two years.

Regarded as one of the best young prospects in French football, Adli was previously pursued by the likes of

Premier League champions Manchester City.

Former PSG boss Unai Emery knows Adli well from his two-year stint in charge at the Parc des Princes and the youngster would become his first signing since being appointed as the successor to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal earlier this month.

The Gunners are similarly close to an agreement with experienced free agent full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, formerly of Juventus, to act as cover for Hector Bellerin.

Arsenal also remain in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for £15.7million-rated Greek centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos as head of recruitment Sven Mislintat seeks to improve their defensive options. (Daily Mail)
