By Nelson Dafe on May 28, 2018

His light continues to shine. Onyekachi Durugbor, the Nigerian youngster who plays for Vaxjo United in the Swedish league hit his 7th goal of the season in 7 games when he scored his team's second goal in a game against FK Almeboda/Lynneryd.

Reports from Sweden have it that Durugbor was a constant thorn in the opponents' defence as his menacing runs stretched the adversaries defence.

His second half shot during Thursday's encounter that ended 2-2 makes him the second highest scorer in the third division of the Swedish league.

Keen followers of the rise of the player are firmly of the opinion that the 19 year-old is destined for a bigger clubside in the no distant future, such is his renowned quality of finding the back of the net with relative ease.

Durugbor was scouted last year by world famous Tiki Taka academy while playing for his grassroots club Rockstar FC of Benin City (owned by Ferdinand Oji) in a football tournament in Benin city called Big Joe Memorial Cup and joined Vaxjo in the January transfer window after impressing in both the Tiki Taka pre pro camp in Sweden and a short spell on trials with Vaxjo United.

Tiki Taka academy based in Sweden is a professionally-run organization that has been at the forefront of working with grassroots clubs in Nigeria to get young players with the right football talents to fulfill their dreams of going on to a fuller professional career.

Owned by Swede Jorge Gustasvsson, Tiki Taka can proudly count the steady progress of Durugbor as a testament to its ability to channel young players to greatness.
