Manchester United youngster Tosin Kehinde has pledged his international future to Nigeria, the Manchester Evening News report.
The 19-year-old midfielder was eligible to choose England as his future international side, but instead, he’s opted for Nigeria.
Kehinde himself has apparently always considered himself Nigerian, so it makes perfect sense for him to opt for that country rather than the Three Lions.
It’s an extremely similar scenario as to what Scott McTominay recently went through; who of course ended up settling for Scotland.
Kehinde, who has been excellent for United’s youth team could potentially have a big future at Old Trafford if he keeps working hard, and the good thing for him is that the midfield is a position in where the Red Devils are light right now.
Although it’s a bit of a long shot, don’t be surprised if you see the young man on tour over the summer. It’d certainly be interesting to see how he gets on.
