Super Eagles stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were both handed starting roles for Leicester City who defeated Sheffield United 1-0 to book a place in the quarter finals of the Emirates FA Cup on Friday.
Jamie Vardy scored the only goal in the 65th minute.
Vardy, Iheanacho and Riyad Mahrez all came close in breaking the deadlock in the first half.
Ndidi also forced a save from Jamaal Blackman from distance in the first half while Vincent Iborra was unlucky not to have scored from close range.
In the second half, Leicester City maintained the pressure on their visitors and their efforts paid off in the 66th minute with Vardy heading in Mahrez’s delightful cross.
The game was Iheanacho’s fourth Emirates FA Cup appearance for Leicester City this season and he has scored four goals in the competition.
The game was Iheanacho’s 18th game of the season for the Foxes.
