Champions, Enugu Rangers have left the relegation zone of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after recording a 2-0 victory over MFM FC on Thursday.
The game decided at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu was decided over two days as it was halted at the halfway stage on Wednesday after heavy rain rendered the playing surface unplayable.
Chiamaka Madu had put Rangers in front on Wednesday before rain washed off play.
Rangers began play on Thursday on the front foot and won a penalty shortly after the restart.
Ifeanyi George dispatched the penalty effortlessly to hand the hosts a two-goal cushion.
Rangers thus moved up four places on the log and now occupy 14th place with 39 points from 30 matches.
MFM remain in second place with 49 points from 30 matches.
