Hammer dangles on Ambrose for going AWOL

By Daily Sports on July 13, 2017

Efe Ambrose has not yet reported for pre-season training at newly promoted Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

The Nigeria national-teamer was given an extended vacation but has remained incommunicado since the squad started preparations for the new season, and Hibs manager Neil Lennon has strongly hinted that he will face the music whenever he returns to Scotland.

''There’s no sign of Efe so he is in a bit of trouble. I can’t get a hold of him at all. He was given a wee bit of time off but he is pushing the boundaries now,'' Lennon said.

''The sooner he is back, for his sake, the better.''

It will be discussed behind closed doors so he’s got that to look forward to when he gets back.

''The former Celtic star was acquired on a permanent basis this summer after impressing while on loan at the Edinburgh based club last season.
