Nigeria national boxing coach Tony Konyegwachi has expressed his delight following the re-election of Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah as the President of Nigeria Boxing Federation.

Minimah was re-elected President of the NBF unopposed for a second term during the boxing federation's elections that held in Abuja on Tuesday.

Reacting to the outcome of the NBF presidential  election, Konyegwachi described Minimah as the right person to move Nigerian boxing forward.

"Minimah's re-election is good for Nigerian boxing," an excited Konyegwachi told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"I would love it if he can be life President of Nigeria Boxing Federation. He is my person, I love him and I want him to be there. He is a just man, and hopefully, he will come back for a third term.

"We want just and honest people to rule us. When you have just people in charge, things will work out well and I believe Minimah is that person."
