Information filtering through from Uganda is that there has been a shooting at the country’s football headquarters on Wednesday morning.
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations released a statement on Wednesday regarding the unfortunate incident.
FUFA said there was an invasion at the football house and police were called in to restore calm, but one police member was shot.
“Following the invasion of FUFA House on Wednesday morning by Dan Walusimbi and group, an unfortunate incident happened when a police officer got shot,” said FUFA.

“We would like to inform the football stakeholders that business is running normally at FUFA House and ready to serve you – it is Our Game, It is Our Country.”
Meanwhile, the association has released a road map for the upcoming FUFA Electoral Committee headed by Sam Bakiika.
The road map is set to prepare for the 2017 FUFA elections for over 1000 positions in Ugandan football across the country.
“The elections will cater for the different positions at district, Regional, Executive and FUFA President,” reads a statement.
“The road map starts with appointment of the presiding officers and end with the election of FUFA President and his Executive on 5th August 2017.” (mtnfootball.com)
