The Solid Miners’ handler has paid tributes to the awesome records of the Aba side but said his boys are not afraid of them.
Nasarawa United head coach, Kabiru Dogo is not bothered by the antecedents of Enyimba FC ahead Sunday's duel in Calabar.
The Solid Miners secured their first win of the season on Wednesday when they defeated Remo Stars 3-1 in Lafia, and they are on the road to the People’s Elephant who dominated their own away tie but ended up with a point.
Dogo revealed that they respect the awesome record of the People's Elephants but they would step out to get a positive result at the end of the encounter.
“We thank God for the journey so far. Anybody that knows Nasarawa United is aware that we may not start too well but we always pick up our points later on in the season,” Dogo told Goal.
“Playing against Enyimba will be tough as former champions of the premier league but we are not afraid of them. We are going to give them their due respect.
“The game will be very interesting. The confidence of my boys is back and having beaten Remo Stars, we will consolidate on that to also pick another valuable point against Enyimba.
“Even though Remo Stars equalized shortly after the start of the second half in our last game we were never bothered. If you look at our game against Enugu Rangers, they were very lucky to escape with a draw and in Katsina what happened there is glaring to all.”
Nasarawa United are 12th on the log with five points from four matches after a win, two draws and a loss. (goal.com)
