Abia Warriors shock Champions Rangers at The Cathedral

Champions Enugu Rangers lost 2-1 at home to Abia Warriors in their opening match of the NPFL Sunday.

New signing, Fortune Omoniwari gave Rangers the lead after 10 minutes.

Emeka Isaac’s deflected effort after 22 minutes brought Abia Warriors level.

Godwin Zaki’s penalty after 72 minutes will prove to be the winner for Abia Warriors.

There were home wins for promoted ABS FC and Katsina United.

ABS defeated Akwa United 3-1 in Ilorin, while Katsina United outscored Gombe United 2-1. (mtnfootball.com)
