Veteran sports administrator and Chairman, Red Carpet Advertising, Prince Isidore Oduah, says he remembers her late daughter, Nana Akaba Aliyu, a great lover of tennis and football each time French, British Open tennis championships hold without her daughter travelling to watch.

“Her deep passion for football informed why she used to accompany me to football matches those days as she also never missed any tennis championship locally and international,”

The former Nigeria Football Association member made the assertion as he reflects back to times of the daughter who would have been 35 years old today.

“We missed her company two years since her demise. She was baby of the family, regarded as our diamond and so it shall be forever. Her replacement is not possible; you used to be our baby of the house. Your philanthropy knew no bounds,” he explains.

According to the Financial Secretary of Association of Sports Veterans Nigeria, “it is on the light of the above that members of the immediate and extended family of Oduah, friends and associates from all works of life are gathering here today to mark her 35 years birthday anniversary and pray for the repose of her gentle soul, he situates.”

Daily Sports reports that late Nana Akaba Aliyu is survived by Prince Oduah, Mrs. Elizabeth Oni Oduah, Mrs. Gigi Okwnbi (sister), General Aliyu (husband), Raila Alanza Aliyu, and Jamah Ebubechkwu Aliyu (children). She died September 9, 2014.
