Remo Stars win promotion to Nigeria top league

Remo Stars Sunday made history when they won promotion to the Nigeria premier league for the first time.

Remo Stars won 2-0 at COD of Lagos to book their place in next season’s premier league from Division B1 with a game to spare.

The club are coached by former internationals Uche Okagbue and Nduka Ugbade.

In Division A1, it will be a fight to finish between Mighty Jets and Katsina United on the final day of the season.

Jets defeated Katsina United 1-0 and for the final match of the campaign, Jets will be away at Jigawa Golden Stars, while Katsina are at home.

The Division B2 match between J.Atete FC and ABS FC was abandoned with 13 minutes left on the clock with scores at 1-1.

It was reported that fans of the home team attacked ABS as well as match officials. (mtnfootball.com)
