Fearless Energy fuels Africa Knock Out showdown

By Daily Sports Nigeria on November 21, 2025

Fearless Energy took centre stage at the 11th Africa Knock Out martial arts championship in Lagos, powering an evening of high-intensity contests that brought together some of the continent’s most promising fighters.

The event at La Madison Place in Lekki on November 15 drew a lively crowd and delivered a series of compelling performances across multiple weight divisions, reinforcing the growing influence of the championship in African combat sports.

This year’s edition was supported by Fearless Energy Drink, with organisers saying the partnership aims to bolster the development of martial arts in Nigeria and inspire young athletes.

They added that the collaboration aligns with the platform’s mission to discover and elevate emerging champions from across the continent.

The headline middleweight fight between Chad Hanekom of South Africa and Jordan Fongno of Cameroon produced one of the night’s most gripping contests.

The bout went the full distance, with Fongno taking a split decision technical victory that highlighted his increasing authority in the division.

The featherweight category also offered intense drama as Tulundat Daniel of Angola overcame a spirited showing from Bibi Zazah of the Ivory Coast after three demanding rounds.

Nigerian fighters enjoyed a successful night on home soil, including Stephen Akintewe, who won an all-Nigerian bantamweight meeting with Jamiu Musa. Akintewe said he fights to win, praised his coach and said he would continue to push himself.

Nigeria’s momentum continued in the lightweight division, where Pelejah Osoba earned a decisive win over Lonan Fanghamou of Equatorial Guinea.

Osoba said he was pleased with the result and planned to build on his progress.

“I am very happy to win this fight and will build on this momentum,” Osoba said.

Another domestic contest ended with Peter Onuh defeating Eberechukwu Ibeh in a competitive bantamweight fight.

Organisers said the 11th edition of the Africa Knock Out championship further strengthened the competition’s standing as a premier arena for African fighters, offering explosive action, assured performances and an atmosphere charged with excitement.
