Zeus Sports & Entertainment Consultancy Ltd., has unveiled plans to host Nigeria’s most monumental boxing title fight in partnership with the World Boxing Federation (WBF) in Awka, Anambra state capital biggest game city in Africa called, "Solution Funcity".
Emmanuel Emenogu, renowned promoter, revealed that the unadulterated boxing event tagged, “Solution Bout,” will feature Nigeria’s Taiwo Agbaje against France’s Thomas Masin in the main event of WBF Featherweight title clash on Oct. 25, 2025.
He affirmed that the WBF has officially endorsed the featherweight showdown, as well as the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control (NBN of C), marking a historic moment in Nigeria's South East region.
“This is more than a fight; it’s a celebration of Anambra’s spirit and Nigeria’s potential on the world stage,” he said.
The event, set to unfold at the cutting-edge Solution Fun City entertainment complex in Awka, capital of Anambra will include a series of electrifying undercard bouts, ensuring a full day of high-octane boxing entertainment.
Emenogu affirmed that the WBF has officially endorsed the heavyweight showdown, marking a historic moment for the region.
According to him, in a co-main bout will be featuring the return of Ike Ibeabuchi of Nigeria vs Josh Pretorius of South Africa in a comeback fight long overdue.
"A bout which everyone in the world have been waiting to see,v the one and only (Ike "The President " Ibeabuchi) back on the ring as well as other boxers from the international scene.
"The event will also feature top supporting bouts with boxers coming from across the world.
“Anambra’s accessibility, with its operational airport and warm hospitality, makes it the perfect host.
“Our rich cultural heritage will leave global visitors in awe," he noted.
He highlighted the event’s significance as the first of its kind in Southeast Nigeria and only the second across Africa, projecting a staggering 120 million viewers from the United States alone.
The “Solution Bout” aims to reshape perceptions, showcasing Anambra’s peace and vibrancy.
“This is our moment to prove our region is safe, welcoming, and ready for the world,” Emenogu said, addressing concerns about security.
He stated that Zeus Sports Entertainment is a leading sports promotion company with a proven track record of delivering world class events across Africa and Europe.
Odira Ezeh, the project coordinator, echoed this sentiment, saying the event’s role in spotlighting Anambra’s entertainment prowess.
“Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s investment in world-class facilities has set the stage for this global event.
"It will re- position Anambra state as a premier destination for international sporting events.
“With Prof. Soludo as our chief host, Anambra is ready to dazzle the world," Eze added.
