Coach Stanley Eguma has confirmed that Sunday Rotimi has fully recovered from injuries sustained in a recent auto crash and would be available for Rivers United’s league clash against Ikorodu United.
The Pride of Port Harcourt would be hoping to bounce back from their defeat against El Kanemi in their quest to emerge as league champions.
“I must say that I am happy that some of my players that got injured in the road accident we had when we were close to Port Harcourt after the Federation Cup quarter final tie are showing evidence of recovery,” Eguma said.
“Rotimi was not taken to Maiduguri as a precaution and he is expected to be in goal hopefully on Thursday during our rescheduled tie with Ikorodu United.
“Others too are showing improvement and I can boldly say that they will still have matches to play before the end of the season. Gabriel Olalekan, Yusuf Jaiyeola and Frederick Obomate will be back in the coming weeks.”
Rivers United are third on the NPFL log with 44 points from 28 matches.
