UCL: Liverpool beat Real Madrid 2-0 to top Champions League table

Liverpool defeated Real Madrid 2-0 on Wednesday to reclaim the top spot in the Champions League standings with a perfect record of five wins from five matches.

Second-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo secured victory for Liverpool.

Both Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid and Mohamed Salah missed penalties during the match.

The defeat leaves defending champions Real Madrid in 24th place.
