The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, Rodri Cascante, has stated that Real Madrid is the most successful club in history, noting that it is a club players always have to listen to when it comes calling.
According to a post on Fabrizio Romano’s X handle on Friday, the Spain and Manchester City midfielder told @ellarguero on the potential future Real Madrid call, “When Real Madrid call you, the best club in history and the most successful, it makes you proud and you always have to listen. It is obvious. You always have to pay attention.”
Recall that the 28-year-old will miss the rest of the season suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament tear in his right knee during a league match against Arsenal this season.
However, the player has shared his hopes for a comeback, expressing optimism about returning to action this season.
He aims to be fit for the UEFA Nations League matches or the FIFA Club World Cup.
“I plan to return this season, possibly around June or July. I believe I can make it for the Nations League and the Club World Cup,” said Rodri.
This weekend, Rodri will present the Ballon d’Or award at the Etihad Stadium before the match against Tottenham.
