The head coach of Enyimba Football Club, Yemi Olanrewaju has said that his boys are fully aware of what is at stake as they prepare to host current league leaders, Remo Stars FC on Sunday.
Remo Stars last season broke the hearts of Aba fans as they ran away with the three points, drawing the Aba Millionaires dream of a tenth league trophy backwards.
Coach Olanrewaju is hoping that the Sunday game goes well to pacify the Aba fans and maintain a good position on the league table.
“Yeah we know the importance of playing Remo stars. They are a tough club and a top club but it’s like a derby. Every game with them is always very tough. But it’s our home game and we want to enjoy the game and go for the points.
“We know it is going to be a tough battle, we give them that respect as a tough team. They are going to respect us too because on the pitch we know what is at stake for us as a club so we have to go for it,” he said
Speaking of the absence of his players with the national team, coach Yema is hopeful they will join the team for the weekend game but worried about the spate of injuries in the team as one or two of his key players are injured.
“On the players in the national team, hopefully, we have them back for the weekend game. We have one or two injuries too, one or two key players are injured too”,
“But we have to manage what we have and what we have on the ground is enough to get the job done for us. So, we hope to have a good game on Sunday and make everyone happy. That is the focus.”
