BREAKING: Manchester United wins Community Shield •Ahmed Musa sparkles for Leicester

By News Express on August 7, 2016

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winner as Manchester United on Sunday evening won their first silverware under Jose Mourinho after beating Leicester in the Community Shield at Wembley.

Leicester’s Shinji Okazaki headed against the bar before Jesse Lingard fired United ahead after a fine run.

United controlled possession before Marouane Fellaini’s error allowed Jamie Vardy to equalise after half-time.

Fellaini committed the error after Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa, who sparkled for his new club Leicester City, had gone on rampage and attempted to Okazaki in the Manchester United goal area.

Summer signing Ibrahimovic headed home Antonio Valencia’s cross to win it for the Reds.

Contested by the winners of the Premier League and the FA Cup, the Community Shield marks the beginning of the new English football season, paving the way for the kick-off of the Premier League season that runs from August to May.
