The Sports Committee of the Lagos Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has announced Tuesday, July 19, 2016 as date for the Press Conference and draw of the Winners Golden Bet Lagos SWAN Cup.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Debo Oshundun, the draw, which is expected to be graced by seasoned sports journalists and A-listed football administrators, will commence at 11:00am inside the multipurpose hall of the association building.

Oshundun said: “In our usual tradition, the weeklong activity will be heralded by an elaborate press conference and the grouping of teams from media organisations that have signified intention to participate.”

“After due consultation with our sponsors, we have perfected plans for the 2016 edition of the Winners Golden Bet Lagos SWAN cup which is expected to start on Friday, 22nd of July.”

Oshundun enjoined all interested organisations to key into the extension of sale of forms by the committee and procure their participation forms at the secretariat of the association for just N2,000.

He emphasised that unlike last year, no organisation will be given any preferential treatment regarding participation as soon as the fixtures commence.
