Former Argentina and Napoli striker Roberto El Pampa Sosa believes Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is on the same level with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Osimhen has had an incredible season at Napoli. The Super Eagles star is having his best season since he moved to Europe. Osimhen has registered 25 goals and five assists in 28 appearances for the Partenopeans this season.
His goals have been important as Napoli currently sit on top of the Serie A table, 19 points above second-placed Lazio.
Also, his four goals have helped to propel Napoli to the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
Retired Argentine striker Sosa has been impressed with what he has seen from the former Lille man. And he believes Osimhen is at the top of his game alongside Manchester City star Haaland, who has 42 goals in 37 appearances this season.
“It’s essential to play in Serie A. I find it hard to say Osimhen is not good technically,” Sosa said per Napoli Magazine.
“The first game against Roma comes to mind. Without technique, the goal he scored would have been impossible. Osimhen is the future of football, he will win many titles. He is at Haaland’s level.”
