Lagos SWAN Mourns Ace Photojournalist, Adebesin - Kuti, Condoles With Family

Members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos chapter has mourned the death of one of their own, Musbaudeen Femi Adebesin-Kuti who died in the early hours of Friday, 6 January 2023.

The late Adebesin-Kuti, who was fondly called 'Eshin Funfun' (White Horse), died after a brief sickness in Ogun State at 57, and would be buried later on Friday according to the Muslim rites.

Executive Chairperson of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni, said in a statement released on Friday that the sporting family in Nigeria has lost a rare gem in Adebesin-Kuti, who was always at home with everybody he had encounter with in the course of his job.

"Mr Femi Adebesin-Kuti was a good man, and he was a photojournalist who was good at is work. He had lived a fulfilling life worthy of emulation by young and aspiring journalists in the Nigerian sporting media. He would be remembered for being a very jovial man who was accommodating with his sense of humour.

"On behalf of Lagos SWAN, I express our sincere condolence to the family of our late brother and colleague and it is our prayers that the Almighty God will give the family and the children he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss, Amen," Oladunni said.
