Kehinde, Adeosun Win Maiden Kasa Memorial Tennis Tournament

The pair of Feranmi Kehinde and Adedayo Adeosun has emerged as the winners’ o the maiden edition o the Kasa Memorial Tennis Tournament decided on Sunday at the tennis courts of the Federal Civil Service Club (FCSC), Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

In the gruesome final, the pair defeated the pair of Raynner Okpara and Fola Sanni in two straight sets of 6-4, 6-4 to emerge winners.

 Kehinde, who is the captain of the tennis section was full of joy after the match but was quick to praise the determination of his opponents.

“It was an exciting tournament and a very tough final. I thank God that we won and very happy for my partner, Adeosun, who to me is the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.

“Our opponent really put in their best and fought very hard, but at the end, we were the champions. I thank the sponsor of the tournament, Col. Tunde Solebo for bankrolling the tournament. He has been wonderful,” said Kehinde.

In his view, Okpara, who partnered Sanni said they were unlucky not to have won the final as they fought very hard.

“It was painful because we put in our best but just unlucky. I thank the sponsor for the opportunity given to us to exhibit our talents. We will be looking forward to the next edition of the tournament next year,” said Okpara.

At the end of the tournament, presentation of trophies and gift items were presented to the winners and runners up while all the participated players were given medals.

Among those that presented medals and gift items to the players are Col. Ayodele Oyebanji; Col. Ayo Akingbemila; Lt. Col. Labaran Sanni while the sponsor, Col. Tunde Solebo presented trophies and gift items to the winners.
