Madrid turn down Ronaldo comeback after Man Utd fiasco

By Daily Sports Nigeria on November 23, 2022

Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo have been in the news, since the explosive interview the striker held with Piers Morgan hit the airwaves.

The Portuguese star in the interview heavily criticised both Manchester United as a club and the manager Erik ten Hang, saying the club had not grown since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013  adding that he does not respect the manager.

The club had since said that they are exploring legal options as regards the interview and what can be done, but there have been speculations that United will most likely release Ronaldo.

Although the Portuguese star is presently in Qatar representing his country at the ongoing 2022 Qatar World Cup, the five time Ballon d’Or winner might be ‘clubless’ after the tournament in Qatar.

According to The Sun UK, Real Madrid has turned down any possible chance of Ronaldo returning to the club after the Spanish club said they are not looking to sign any players in the January transfer window.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side could be without striker Karim Benzema after he had to pull out of France’s World Cup squad due to injury.

Ronaldo was previously at Madrid after leaving Manchester United in 2009. He spent nine seasons with Los Blancos and became one of the best players to ever play football as he won everything on offer.
