Jack Grealish had sex with a woman during a party at the house of Manchester City team-mate Benjamin Mendy on the same night she was allegedly raped, Chester Crown Court has heard.
Grealish is said to have had sex with the 23-year-old woman who was allegedly raped by Mendy’s co-accused, Louis Saha Matturie, on the same night in August of last year.
Mendy, 28, stands accused of seven counts of rape, one account of sexual assault and one attempted rape. All offences are alleged to have taken place at his home address in Cheshire and span between October 2018 and August last year.
Saha, 41 of Eccles, denies seven counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault against eight different women – two of whom Mendy is also accused of raping.
Both men deny all charges.
A jury of eight men and four women were sworn in for the trial in early August, which is expected until mid-December.
Grealish was named during a police interview given by Women 10 (none of the alleged victims can be identified) and played to the jury on Friday morning.
Woman 10, aged 17 at the time, alleges she was raped twice by Mendy, the same evening of the party at his house in Prestbury, Cheshire last August.
After one of the alleged rapes, Woman 10 told police she went to find Woman 11 in a lounge.
Woman 10 said: “[Woman 11] told me she had sex with Jack. I don’t know whether that was consensual or non-consensual. I don’t know what that was. But she was talking about it.
“I know that this was after I had been with Ben, because after she had gone to bed with Ben as well. She had been taken up to a room with Ben. This was a bedroom.”
Woman 10 said that she “did not talk about sex” with Mr Mendy before or after the alleged rape.
“There was nothing of the sort to suggest we were going to engage in the sort,” she said. “I didn’t say yes or no. I was in no fit state to say yes or no because I had been drinking all night.”
She told the police officer that she had also taken cocaine at her flat earlier in the evening.
Woman Ten said that during the alleged rape Mendy asked her whether she was “on the pill” and she told him she was not.
“That’s when I knew I wanted to stop and I did not want it to happen anymore,” she said to the officer. “I did not want it to happen in the first place. He finished when he wanted to, as if it was on his own terms.”
She continued: “During sex, he was telling me ‘you have a perfect body, this is not the body of a 17-year-old. This is not the arse of a 17-year-old. I want you every day.’
“I just thought what the f***? That was the only conversation that was going on. He was just talking to me.”
The woman alleged Mr Mendy then ejaculated inside her.
The trial continues.
