Mbappé Rejecting Real Madrid Good Decision – PSG Chief

By Daily Sports Nigeria on September 13, 2022

Paris Saint-Germain dodged a notable bullet this summer when the capital club could hold onto its star player, Kylian Mbappé.

The 23-year-old said no to Real Madrid, believing in what the French giants are building.

Since the France international decided to remain with his hometown club rather than venturing abroad, there’s been plenty of opinions on this decision.

Former AS Monaco club chief Vadim Vasilyev stated that Mbappé opting to stay with PSG is the correct move. He explained why during a recent appearance on French media outlet Téléfoot (h/t Canal Supporters).

“By staying here in Paris, the conditions are met,” Vasilyev said. “There is something happening: the squad, the sports management, the coach, everyone is working together. (…) There, he can be part of the history of the club, but also in the world history of football.”

Real Madrid supporters have voiced their displeasure about being rejected. After going from having photoshopped pictures of the PSG star, they have resorted to calling Mbappé various corny insults such as “Mbappaypal.”

The hurt the fanbase feels, since they’re not used to rejection, will one day come out whenever PSG faces Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League while Mbappé is a member of the Ligue 1 side.
