Five Golden Eaglets players were included in the Best Eleven squad of the recently concluded 2022 WAFU Zone B U-17 tournament in Ghana.
The Best Eleven of the competition was published on the WAFU Twitter handle.
The players are Idris Abubakar, Emmanuel Michael, Jeremiah Olaleke, Yahaya Lawali and goalkeeper Richard Odoh.
Recall Michael won three consecutive Man of the Match awards for his brilliant displays in the two group games and the semi-finals.
While Odoh was named the best player in the final against Burkina Faso which ended 2-1 in favour of the Eaglets.
Meanwhile Eaglets handler Nduka Ugbade was named Coach of the Tournament, after leading his side to victory in all their four games.
The team defeated hosts Ghana 4-2 in their first game before ending the group stage with a 3-1 win against Togo.
In the semi-finals, they came from a goal down to beat Côte d’Ivoire 3-1 before edging Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final.
