Christensen’s Move To Barca Remains On Track

By Daily Sports Nigeria on May 21, 2022

The Dane is off contract in June and has agreed terms with Barca.

Barcelona-based journalist Juan Jimenez told bold.dk: “I certainly do not expect the agreement to be in jeopardy due to Barca’s financial situation. On the contrary, sources in the club say that the agreement is completely in place.

“I have my doubts about Christensen. I know him as a player who might be a little soft and Barca need physically strong central defenders and Xavi would like (Jules) Koundé from Sevilla.

“(Gerard) Pique has chronic problems with his left leg and everyone in Barcelona is worried about him towards next season. As it is now, however, he continues next season and it is only the physical problems that can make him stop.

“No matter what, Barca will try to sell (Samuel) Umtiti and (Clement) Lenglet, so that Andreas Christensen gets a place in the hierarchy, without me being sure that he will play hard.”
