President of Super Eagles Supporter Club (SESC), Prince Vincent Okumagba has urged the Nigeria’s flagship the Super Eagles to for goal as soon as the referee signals the kick-off of the tricky Qatar 2022 World Cup play-off holding today inside the main bowl of Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, Ghana.
The SESC supremo gave the advice shortly before he left for the game to lead his teeming members to cheer the team to victory. He insists that the camp of the team is clam and nothing is distracting them and therefore is fully focused on the crucial match today.
“Truth is that the stakes are high and both countries knew each other inside out therefore only the fittest will survive this encounter of wits. Our boys are not leaving anything for chance one prays that all their efforts will be translated into result right here in Kumasi today. It is my belief that they have been fully briefed on what to do and in precise manner,” he said.
Okumagba added that the boys must be clam but quick to respond decisively from their opponent that will employ all sorts of tricks to frustrate their efforts. He warned that the team avoid totally avoid anything that may make them concede cheap goal (s) as the match may not produce many chances.
“Super Eagles team from the forward to the defence must be at alert as the game will be a crunchy tie. There is likelihood that there may be drought of creating chances by each team and therefore vigilance must be the watch word of the Nigerians. Black Stars are at home and may have some measure of advantage which the Eagles must be alive to their responsibilities all through the game. One believes that the Eguaveon led technical bench must have prepared the boys in all fronts to avoid any unpleasant mistake that may prove costly at the end of the day,” he stressed.
According to him, if the quality of players invited for this game is anything to rely upon, the Eagles have the depth and caliber of players to give their Black Stars counterpart run for the ticket right in front of their fans. All kind of lads that can deliver promptly are in the team. The tide no doubt is already high and only the brave that calculates well will carry the day.
He once again thumbs up the leadership of the NFF and Sports Minister for their close monitoring of events leading to today’s game and urge them to continue until the ticket is won.
