Akwa United continued their strong start to the NPFL season with a 2-0 win over visiting Katsina United on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.
Uyo.C. Okafor gave Akwa an early lead in the 12th minute while U. Friday’s early second half goal doubled the lead for Akwa in the week 5 fixture.
Among other week 5 fixtures scheduled for Sunday are two derby matches. At the Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan, Shooting Stars will play Host to Sunshine Stars Of Abeokuta in what is a western derby.
The middle belt derby will see Nasarawa at home Against Lobi Stars Of Makurdi. Table toppers Remo Stars have a difficult away game against Wikki Tourist Of Bauchi, a team with a strong home record. .
