Liverpool ‘Closing In On £63M Joao Felix Deal’

By Daily Sports on December 15, 2021

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix.

The Portugal international is rumoured to be eyeing a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano as he struggles for regular starts under Diego Simeone.

Felix has just one goal and two assists to his name from 13 appearances in all competitions this season, starting just three La Liga matches in the process.

Manchester City and Manchester United have both been tipped to battle for Felix’s signature, but according to reports in Spain – via FourFourTwo – Liverpool are ‘closing in’ on his signing.

The report claims that the Reds could strike a £63m deal for the 22-year-old, with Atletico set to cut their losses on the £114.5m they forked out to sign him from Benfica in 2019.

Felix boasts 20 goals and 11 assists from 89 games for the La Liga champions, and his contract in Madrid is due to run until 2026. (Sports Mole)
