Defending Champions Safety Shooters and Adorable Angels have suffered defeats on Day 6 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League.

Safety Babes 33-27 points victory over Adorable Angels ended the winning streak of 13 matches of the defending women champions who struggled to cope with the absence of Idowu Abdurasaq.

In other games played in the women’s category, Imo Grasshoppers had a convincing 28-20 win over Confluence Queens while Kada Queens recorded their first league victory beating Bayelsa Queens 29-23.

The struggle continues for 2018 champions Plateau Peacocks who are yet to record a win this season. The Jos based team lost 21-16 points to Seasider Babes

In the men’s category, defending champion, Safety Shooters could not handle the attacking power of Kano Pillars and so they fell 23-21 while De Defenders defeated Confluence Stars 28-26.

In the first Lagos derby, Seasider Boys had a comfortable 4-27 win over Tojemarine Academy while Kada Stars defeated Plateau Vipers 29-28. Rima Strikers fought hard to defeat Police Machine 29-26.
