Man City Willing To Go Over £90M To Land Aston Villa Captain Grealish

By Daily sports on June 20, 2021

Manchester City are ready to smash the Premier League transfer record to land Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

The 25-year-old had another superb season for his boyhood club, scoring six goals and creating ten assists in the league despite being ruled out with injury for three months towards the end of the campaign, says the Telegraph.

And his impressive showings have seen him called up to the England squad, where he came on as a substitute in the Three Lions’ 0-0 draw with Scotland on Friday for his first appearance of the Euros.

City are so desperate to get their man that they are willing to go above the £90m United spent in 2016 to make Paul Pogba the most expensive signing of all time by an English team.

Grealish signed a new five-year contract with Villa just last year, with the deal running until 2025. (Tribal Football)
