Real Madrid have confirmed that Nacho Fernandez has tested positive for the coronavirus and will stay in isolation having been confined for the last five days.
Nacho didn’t travel with the squad to face Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey as he had close contact with another person who tested positive for COVID-19, despite the defender testing negative the day before the tie.
As he was awaiting the results of a second test, Nacho he also missed the game against Alaves in Vitoria, joining Zinedine Zidane on the sidelines as the coach also tested positive.
Nacho becomes the fifth Real Madrid player this season to test positive for the coronavirus, after Eder Militao, Eden Hazard, Casemiro and Luka Jovic. (Marca)
