Nigerians Abroad: Odibe, Obodo on target

By Daily Sports on April 24, 2016

Romanian side, Concordia Chiajna, have their Nigerian stars to thank after the duo of Michael Odibe and Christian Obodo helped them defeat ACS Poli Timisoara on Saturday.

It was a very important game for Chiajna who are involved in the relegation playoffs with Odibe and Obodo among the goals in a 3-1 away win at Timisoara.

Artem Milevsky gave Chiajna the lead from the penalty spot in the 54th minute of the game to send his side on their way to an important victory.

Timisoara equalised 10 minutes later as Alex Nimely prodded home after a sustained Timisoara pressure.

Former Super Eagles midfielder Obodo restored the lead for his side with a fine finish in the 73rd minute.

Odibe, who picked a caution in the 56th minute of the game, made the points safe for Chiajna scoring two minutes from regulation time to earn his side the win.

Odibe and Obodo have been instrumental to Chiajna’s run towards the end of the league and are looking to help their team escape the drop from the Romanian first division.
