Super Falcons duo Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie have vowed the side will deliver the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations ticket at the expense of Senegalese challengers Teranga Lionesses.
The reigning African champions will host the West Africans in the decisive final clash of the biennial football showpiece today at the Abuja National Stadium.
The two sides shared the spoils 1-1 in the first fixture clash last Friday at the Stade Demba Diop in Dakar, Senegal.
Oshoala said her side have corrected the shortcomings that denied them victory in Dakar, Senegal, and will aim for a convincing victory today.
“Yes, we had technical issues in Dakar, but we have corrected our mistakes and will try to win convincingly on Tuesday.
“Nigerians can rest assured that the AWCON ticket will be sealed and delivered tomorrow (today) at the expense of Senegal.
“We are not worried about the number of goals needed; our promise to Nigerians is that we will secure the AWCON spot.
“The Senegalese are not a bad side. We hope to do far better than we did in Dakar right here in Abuja, Nigeria,” said the Arsenal Ladies markswoman to supersport.com.
Oparanozie said she does not see the Senegalese stopping the Nigerians from qualifying for the AWCON final in Cameroon later in the year.
“Yes, the AWCON ticket will be delivered tomorrow (today) in Abuja as I do not see the Senegalese stopping us from claiming the ticket.
“If it weren't for the Senegal's physical play and biased officiating in Dakar we would have beaten them silly right there in their own backyard.
“However, that’s history as we are focused on today's game and scoring the necessary goals.
“The team spirit is quite high and I’m 100 percent certain that we will get the job done today.
“Tactically and technically we are superior to the Senegalese and we hope to prove ourselves a far better side on matchday,” said the EN Avent de Guingamp goal poacher to supersport.com.
The aggregate winners of the encounter will book a spot at the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) final in Cameroon.
