Arsenal Reject Atletico Madrid Offer For Torreira

By Daily sports on September 22, 2020

Arsenal have turned down an offer from Atletico Madrid for Lucas Torreira.

The Uruguayan midfielder has made it clear he wants to leave the club, with Italy his preferred destination.

And Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi reports that Atletico in Spain attempted to sign Torreira on loan with an option to buy.

But the reporter claims the offer was swiftly turned down.

If Arsenal do let Torreira leave, they want a permanent transfer so they can add money to their transfer kitty.

Arsenal are trying to do other business with Atletico, as they have serious interest in defensive midfielder Thomas Partey.

Torino and Fiorentina also want to sign Torreira. (Tribal Football)
