Barcelona Sign Senegal’s Moussa Ndiaye

By Daily sports on September 1, 2020

La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Moussa Ndiaye from Aspire Academy in Senegal.

The 18-year-old defender has joined on a three-year contract, with the option of a two-year extension and a buyout clause of €100 million.

Ndiaye is capable of playing as both a left-back and centre-back, and has already impressed at junior international level.

He helped Senegal to a runners-up finish at the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Niger, where he was named the Player of the Tournament, and also impressed at last year’s WAFU Cup of Nations.

Ndiaye is the second Senegalese on Barca’s books – alongside Moussa Wague – but he is set to spend the 2020-21 season with the B team.

“An honour and great pride to join a club as prestigious as Barcelona, work continues,” Ndiaye wrote on his Instagram page. (African Football)
