Leicester City Hoping To Add Another Nigerian To Their Squad

By Daily Sports on April 28, 2020

Leicester City could reportedly add a third Nigeria international to their squad at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Victor Osimhen has attracted interest from the Foxes who view the forward as a possible long-term replacement for Jamie Vardy.

Osimhen has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest prospects over the last few months with clubs in England, Spain and Italy said to be interested in signing the 21-year-old.

Chelsea and Inter are said to be among the frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature but Leicester possibly offers the prospect of more game time and the opportunity to play alongside Super Eagles teammates Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Ịheanachọ.

Osimhen, who is valued at around £60 million, has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances for Lille across all competitions this season.

The forward joined the French Ligue 1 club from Belgian club side RSC Charleroi in July last year. (Daily Mail)
