Ansu Fati Set For New Barcelona Deal

By Daily Sports on October 16, 2019

Guinea-Bissau born forward Anssumane Fati is set to be offered a new bumper deal by Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Fati’s new contract will include a €100 million release clause.

The 16-year-old, who recently became eligible for Spain, was called up to the country’s U21 team this past weekend following an injury to Barca teammate Carles Perez.

Fati has made an incredible start to his professional career with the Catalan giants, scoring two goals and assisting another in his first six appearances for the club.

He was an unused substitute in Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Sevilla last time out, having started their opening Uefa Champions League group stage fixture away to Borussia Dortmund.

Fati has spent 10 years in Spain, after leaving Guinea-Bissau with his parents at the age of six. He first made a name for himself at Sevilla before joining the Barcelona academy where he has excelled. (African Football)
