Aribo Hands Nigeria Boost Ahead Of Brazil Clash

By Daily Sports on October 9, 2019

Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has received a massive boost ahead of the Super Eagles’ clash with Brazil.

Glasgow Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard has disclosed Nigerian midfielder Joe Aribo has recovered from an injury.

Aribo picked up an injury during Celtic’s Scottish League Cup clash against Livingston on September 25.

Aribo was included in Rangers’ matchday squad for their Scottish Premier League clash with Hamilton Academy on Sunday.

Gerrard revealed Aribo will travel to Singapore to join his Nigeria teammates as they prepare for their clash with Brazil.

”Joe (Aribo) was very close to being 100% so that is a positive for us,” Gerrard told Glasgow Evening Times.

”I would have Joe if needed but I wanted to give him his scar as much time as possible to heal, he will go away on international duty and probably be involved with Nigeria”.

Nigeria and Brazil will meet on Sunday 13th October at the Singapore National Stadium. (African Football)
