Okowa Hails Warri Wolves for Gaining Promotion to NPFL

By Daily Sports on July 24, 2019

Delta State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon. Tony Okowa, has sent a message of congratulations to the CEO of Warri Wolves and the team for gaining promotion to play in Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) next season.

According to Tony Okowa, “I am happy for the result from Enugu that Warri Wolves picked the ticket to play in NPFL next season.

“I want to thank the team for the good fight and for making the state proud. Delta State has joined the states that have two teams in the Nigeria Premier League.

“I will meet the Governor for more money to keep the two teams on top.

“Delta state is home of sports; in every angle in sports Delta State name is mentioned. I have made a record as the chairman to produce two teams for the state in NPFL.

“You see, Abia State, Delta State and Akwa State are the states with two teams in the NPFL – all from the South.

“Warri Wolves FC will not lack anything from the commission and the government.”
