Ambode Approves N10m for NOC Building Facelift

By Daily Sports on March 14, 2019

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has approved N10 million for the facelift of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) building located inside the National Stadium, Surulere.

The leadership of the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the NOC yesterday.

The NOC is currently renovating its building, which has been in bad shape recently.

The LSSC team, led by its chairman, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, congratulated Mr. Olabanji Oladapo, who received them, and other elected board members for their victory at the NOC polls in Yola, Adamawa State last year December.

Tandoh said Oladapo’s support for the ITTF Nigeria Open Table Tennis Championship and other events organised by Lagos State has been tremendous, adding that his wealth of experience would help the Nigeria Olympic movement regain its position among the comity of sports bodies.

Reacting to Ambode’s gesture, Oladapo thanked the governor for his support to the NOC and appreciated the LSSC for the visit and their supportive move.

He assured them that the Olympic family would strive to help every state to attain its maximum height, adding that all the states would share every benefit from the body equally. (Guardian)
