WWE star Roman Reigns has made a quick return to in ring action after five months of quitting because cancer of the blood.

Reigns had in October last year announced that he was diagnosed with leukaemia eleven years after he was first diagnosed of the disease.

The 33-year-old said that though he was jobless during the first time of diagnosis, he was able to fight the disease to remission.

He was however forced to relinquish his Universal champion belt which he won from a match against WWE champion, Brock Lesnar to be able to resume treatment.

In his return speech, Reigns said: “Before i left, i used to say, this is my yard but now, it’s not only my yard. This is our yard. I am a man of faith. I have always believed in God and that he cares for me.

“I must tell you, before my announcement, I was scared to tell the world what I was going through. Believe me, I was scared. I was terrified to you people because I didn’t know how you will react.

“But by the time I got home, the amount of prayers I got from people texting me, calling me, face-booking me was so overwhelming. So many people prayed for me, in fact God’s email got filled. That’s the magnitude of the love and strength I got from you people

“The overwhelming support gave me a new life, strength to fight. I am going to use the WWE platform to raise and support those that are in need just like I was.

“So when I made the announcement, I said I was going to swing to the fences but we did more than that, we made a home run. The good news is I’m in remission y’all. So with that being said, the big dog is back.”

The big dog, as he is fondly called by the millions of WWE fans, was greeted with a standing ovation by enthralled WWE fans who chanted: “Welcome back!”

On the night of his return, Reigns in company of his best friend Seth Rollins helped to save their Shield brother, Dean Ambrose, from the attack of four WWE super stars.
