Delta State Football Association election into the board will take place on May 31, 2019.
This was disclosed on Tuesday in Agbarho by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Sir James Efozia, after the inauguration of the Electoral Committee members.
“We have fixed April 1, 2019 for the sales of forms and close of sales of forms on the 15th of April and returning of completed forms on the 30th of April.
“We the Electoral Committee members will do according to the rules and law of the NFF and interested person can get the forms from the State FA office,” he said.
The Electoral Committee members are Sir James Efozia as Chairman, Alhaji Aminu (Member) and Dr Ofuafo as Secretary.
Members of the Appeal Committee are Barrister Andrew Aduwa Bekedereomo, Reuben Esabour and Comrade Mike Ikoegun.
A communique issued at the end of the congress reads: “The Congress thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Football Association (NFF) ably led by Amaju Melvin Pinnick for protecting football by standing against certain infractions cropping up in the Delta Football Association (DFA).
“The Congress took the decision to relieve the current DFA Secretary Mr. Azuka Ogosi of his job due to conflict of interest in performance of his FA duties and as Delta State Sports Commission Staff.
“The Congress approved the appointment of Mr Stanley Orukpe as Interim Secretary of the DFA with immediate effect.
“Congress approved the DFA Electoral guidelines which is an adaptation of the NFF electoral code and should be followed strictly.
“Congress approved the appointment and inauguration of the 3-man Electoral committee as well as a 3-man Appeal committee for the purpose of the 2019 Elective congress in line with NFF directive
“Congress approved the DFA Electoral committee timeline for purchase of forms, return and screening. That Elections be held on the 31st of May 2019.”
