Mexico will play against Nigeria in the semi-finals of the on-going FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile. The Mexicans set up the clash by beating Ecuador 2-0 last night in a quarter-final match played in Coquimbo – thanks to a first half goal from Claudio Zamudio and a penalty goal from Bryan Salazer in the second stanza.
The two-time U-17 champions will now meet defending champions Nigeria on Thursday in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.
The match comes up 8pm Nigeria time and 3pm Chile time at Estadio Municipal Ester Roa in Conception.
Nigeria had book a place in the last four on Sunday after the Golden Eaglets humiliated Brazil with three unreplied goals.
