Dolphins Women’s Basketball Club and current director of the team, Olumide Oyedeji, have eulogised late founder Wale Aboderin after winning the 2025 Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League title on Saturday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports. Dolphins emerged champions after defeating First Bank 61-55 in a thrilling final at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The match went into overtime after regulation time ended 53-53, but the Dolphins showed grit and composure to outscore First Bank 8-2 in the additional five minutes to secure their second league title since 2015. The victory completed a perfect championship run, with the Dolphins going unbeaten from the group stage through to the final.
